Powerfilm Solar Rollable Solar Charger

An expansion upon the Foldable Solar Charger from PowerFilm Solar that we covered last year, this Rollable Solar Battery Charger features silicon-based panels that stand up to both the sun's heat and being rolled into a tube. The charger comes in three versions, from 11.5" x 21" to 12" x 73", which will charge anything from a cell phone or laptop to a camcorder or (with the largest model) a golf cart. Running on five hours of direct sunlight, the smallest charger will power a cell phone for three hours and a laptop for .6 hours, while the largest charger will power each for 12 and 2.4 hours, respectively, after the same amount of time in the sun. With the convenience of mobility not found in many other chargers, this device makes a smart energy source more accessible and useful.
