Ugly and slightly grotesque in the unsymmetrical way that surrealistic sculpture can be, this Saenger Porcelain Coffee Set is an acquired taste. Although the set is designed to appear as if the pieces have melted into one another, each cup in this set, as well as the 48-ounce pot, can be removed from the tray independently of all the other elements. The pieces in the set are glazed with a white satin matte finish and are both dishwasher- and microwave-safe.
