Phase Two: productdose.com Re-Launches

We’ve been working hard over the past year to make productdose.com more than simply our opinions on stuff we find. We want to grow our community, and to get you involved. Today we’ve re-launched the site with a new design and what we think is some cool functionality. What you’re currently looking at is Phase Two of productdose.com, in which we not only expand our content but also give you multiple choices for buying the products that we cover. We look forward to hearing your thoughts on the changes; tell us what you think in the comments section. Below is a list of new features and changes for productdose:

- Buying Options: One of the biggest requests we’ve had over the past year has been the posting of prices on the site. Well we’ve done you one better: We are now going to look around the web for places to buy the stuff we feature, and we will give you multiple buying options, with prices, from reputable stores.

- User Pages and Profiles: You can create now your own profile and comment on anything in the site. We’ve also moved all of your comments to the front-page so that people can see what you are commenting on.

- Personal Dose: If there is a product or story you like, you can save the item in your personal dose page after you sign up. It’s kind of like a wishlist, but you can also see how many other people have saved the item to see how popular a product or story is getting. Better still, you can add any tag you want to it to help you organize your picks.

- Tabs: If you don’t want to sign up, but you want to remember stuff for later, just tab it up at the top of the page. Or if you click the plus sign right above the article text, a tab will automatically pop up on the top of the page for you. You can then drag and drop these tabs to reorder and reorganize, and you can also edit the text to make sure you remember what you tabbed it for.

Take some time to play around with the site and see what we’re offering. We’re still working out the kinks and have honestly not fully progressed beyond our BETA stage. But we couldn’t wait any longer to unleash our new vision of the site. We’re proud of how it looks, and about how we’ve managed to give you more content without exposing you (or ourselves) to banner ads. We’re also really excited about getting you more involved with how the site develops. Here’s looking forward to growth and community.
