Always witty with its product names, Creative introduces the company's first high-end headphone product, the Aurvana. These canalphones are made to sit deep in your ear and are effective in blocking out up to 90% of ambient noise. This means you are able to turn that volume knob down a few notches while experiencing a more accurate perception of bass. Using a dual armature driver (not uncommon in canalphones), the Aurvana delivers a range of 20Hz - 20kHz. It comes in a sleek black color and with some pretty thoughtful accessories, such as an airplane adapter, cleaning tool, two sets of earbuds (with three sizes to assure the perfect fit), and a travel case. Unfortunately the set does not come with foam pads, which some people prefer for their easier fit. And not a bad price at all. I paid almost as much just six months ago for a product that is only half as cool. These sorts of 'phones are great when you're doing something like mowing the lawn. I listen to audiobooks to make double use of my time. I will keep these in mind when I need to replace my Sonys. |
