Having had my eye on this Picture Porter Elite from Digital Foci for a few months now, I'm very happy to announce that it is finally reached retail availability (even if it is just for presale). Available in 40GB and 80GB models, the 11 oz, 5.3" x 3.1" x 1.1" player is primarily aimed at photographers, as it features memory card support for CompactFlash I & II, MicroDrive, MultiMedia Card, SD Card, Memory Stick, and MS PRO, as well as xD, RS-MMC, miniSD, MS Duo, and MS PRO Duo with an adapter. The 3.6" backlit color TFT LCD (320 x 240) makes viewing and managing images on the go a breeze, and the device supports JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, and RAW file formats. Fortunately, non-photographers like myself can still have a lot of fun with those features, plus MPEG-4 video recording (640x480) at 30fps, FM radio play (18 presets) and recording, MP3/WMA/WAV audio support for use with a built in speaker, as well as MMV9, MJPEG, and MPEG-1/4 support (including recording straight from a video source). We actually do have the prices listed on every page. On this page its not as prominently displayed, but its here. Look in the upper right hand corner and you will see it above the taxonomy and below the search bar. A lot of people have been missing it, so we are probably going to move it to a more obvious locale. |
