Because Bamboo is stronger than wood, it's a more viable option for flatware than you might think. I'm not sure I trust the long-term durability factor on these utensils, but I see this set as a very intelligent alternative to whatever you've been using at barbecues and picnics. This organically-grown bamboo cutlery is also produced in adherence to Bambu's standard fair-labor and environmentally-sensitive manufacturing practices, which is always a nice plus. This is great for bbqs, and not bad for $6, but like productdose, I wonder how many wash cycles these guys can go through. Compared against plastic utensils that just fill up the landfill, this is worth it. IMHO |
