On the one hand, $400+ for a blanket it a little crazy. On the other, every piece of Merino wool from Australia (or New Zealand) that I've ever felt has been both remarkably soft and remarkably warm--two blanket ideals. This handmade, 78.75" x 55" Tracks Plaid Blanket also has a lot more going for it, including biodegradable ingredients and wool pulled from sheep bred on ecological and sustainable-farmed land. There's also a neat design detail in this reversible blanket: the green patch pictured on the blanket's exterior is the color on the reverse side, which, in turn, features a plaid patch. With comfort, warmth, eco-sensitivity, and style in hand, you might be willing to make an exception on the robust price of this blanket.
