New arguments are popping up every day for the validity of the virtual world Second Life as a better place to be than real life. In an interesting twist that marks an overlapping space between the virtual and real, Second Life's Keenag Gallery has emerged as a visual art exhibition space. The gallery collects the work of real-life artists who, variously, double as professional illustrators, have been published in Juxtapoz, and have recently emerged from art schools internationally. Billing itself as a "pop-surrealism and lowbrow art gallery," Keenag features the work of artists inspired by graffiti, comics, and junk culture, and it's an interesting space, virtual or otherwise.
