Yesterday Laptop Magazine weighed in positively on the Coby PMP4320. The slick media player stocks an impressive feature set, most notably a 4.3" widescreen LCD and A/V recording. But that's just the start of what the player offers. The device features a 20GB hard drive and an SD/MMC card slot, with USB 2.0 interface for loading all the video (MPEG-4, DivX, XviD, WMV, MJPG), audio (MP3, WMA), and images (JPG, GIF, BMP) you can fit, in addition to support for ebooks and voice recording. The player also features an integrated FM tuner and recorder, and you can record video (or send video out to a TV) via included A/V cables. Laptop Mag suggested that the player is a little sluggish. And there seems to also be a bit of a complaint in the fact that video recording is a manual affair in which you have to press record and press stop in real time without the benefit of programmable scheduling. But these seem to be minor grievances with a player boasting so many features at this price point. By: cory o'malley |
