Inspired by disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami in Asia and Hurricane Katrina in the US, businessman Michael Pritchard developed a bottle that makes any water drinkable. Most water filters can filter bacteria measuring 200 nanometers but leave viruses, which measure 25 nanometers. Mr. Pritchard's filter cuts out anything longer than 15 nanometers, including fecal matter. I'm not saying I'd drink it, but I could. Available online from Lifesaver Systems for $385 starting September 17th. |via Designverb| By: anh ta |
