If you're stuck having to use modern conveniences like computers and electric blenders but at heart you're really a luddite, then this retro USB lamp might be a salve for your anguish. It provides a touch of simpler times when women understood their place and men could smoke inside and laugh heartily at the less fortunate of the benighted classes. Just plug into the USB port of your computer and you'll be transported back in time to 15 minutes ago when your life was still in your hands. I bought a couple of these lamps thinking they'd be good for travel. Indeed they weren't quite as shockingly bright as most USB LED lights. That little shade takes the edge off the shine when you're on a dimly lit plane. But the construction of the little buggers doesn't lend itself to travel. A few trips in the carry-on baggage was all it could take. |
