Technology - March 27 2008Knife-deflecting T-shirt0
This machine-washable t-shirt is being compared to body armor and can protect the wearer from slashing knife attacks. It's made from ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fiber that's over three times stronger than cotton. Segueing off the super-powers discussion, maybe in the near-future we won't need to be born with mutant abilities. We can just go down to Target and buy flight rings and invulnerability jumpsuits. The short-sleeved version of the T-shirt costs 19,000-52,000 yen, while the long-sleeved variety ranges from 22,000-59,000 yen. The products will go on sale in June through distributors. |via Yomiuri| By: anh ta |
