Bird Clothes Pegs

It's amazing that as a child the future seems so distant that it's beyond comprehension and imagination. I had no idea at age 7 that I'd be where I am today, worrying about making rent and wondering why I keep forgetting things at the bar, like my dignity. These clothes pegs remind me of scorching summer days helping my mom hang up laundry in the backyard. I still remember how the sun would dry the clothes stiff and if there was ever an unexpected rain, we'd rush out and try to take everything down. The sun-dried clothes would always have the faint smell of earth and grass. Not unpleasant. Funny how you don't even know you have a memory until you remember it.
