Duct Tape Bandages

4

I saw these in the drugstore the other day and was tempted to buy them, hoping I can kill two birds with one stone. I have a small wart on my foot and I've heard that duct tape can remedy that. And having duct tape for quick fix-it jobs is never a wasted purchase. I called my friend who's a doctor and asked him if the duct tape as wart remedy was true. He gave me one of those answers that perturbs you more than if he had just said he didn't know. He said the answer is yes and no. That some people have seen positive results from using duct tape to get rid of warts and that others have seen no benefit at all. I want universal healthcare just so I don't have to rely on my friends anymore for these types of noncommittal answers. |via BoingBoing|

I've actually tried the duct tape/wart treatment. The problem with it is, you get a lot of people saying, "Why do you have duct tape on your finger?" At least, I did, since that's where my warts were. I switched to waterproof first aid tape (the plastic-y kind, not the cloth kind), and took it off each morning before I showered, then replaced it. It worked! After a couple of weeks, these warts I had had for years were gone. Never to return!

Oh, man. I am definitely going to try taping my toe then. Thanks for the tip.
