Brand Overview

Heyday Footwear was launched in early 2007 by Darin Hager, a former footwear designer for brands such as Puma, Hi-Tec, and Sperry Top-Sider, where he held the position of Senior Designer.

Brand History

After working as a footwear designer for over a decade, Darin Hager launched the Hager Design consulting firm in 2006 and worked with cilents as diverse as Reebok, Sebago, Dunham, Privo, Clarks and OTB Boots (US Special Forces Tactical Boots). That year Hager also became involved in a sneaker segment for the ABC News magazine "Chronicle." During the segment he was mistakenly identified as being in the process of launching a brand, and he would go on to use the publicity generated from the show to actually launch Heyday.

Brand Phlosophy

Heyday Footwear is invisioned by Hager as simply a collection of footwear that he, the designer, wants to wear. He sees the range as accessible to the discriminating guy who is interested in sneakers, denim, and gadgets and who wants a unique look from his footwear. Recent Collections

Heyday combines the look of classic Redwing boots, which are very popular in Tokyo with daring, athletic inspired uppers. Details include contrasting triple stitching, "set back" raw leather edges which take on character after time, leather linings, nubuck, suede and full grain leather uppers and welted construction. Heyday fits like an Air Force One but has a completly fresh look. Heyday will be available in August 2007 at 20 select boutiques worldwide including Journal Standard Tokyo, and The Tannery Cambridge, MA. Price points range from $70-$160
