How-To Overview

Comment on Blog Posts: Commenting is the easiest way to add your voice to the community discussion that is taking place at productdose. The right column of the productdose home page features a "Recent User Contributions" section that lets everyone who views the home page know what users are saying about the editorial blog posts. To comment, click on the voice cloud underneath a given blog post title or upon the blue "comments" link just to the right of it.

Create and Edit Wiki Pages: Creating and editing wiki pages allows registered productdose users to add information to the community discussion that goes beyond a mere remark on a product. The three categories currently available to the productdose wiki writer are Brand Profiles, Buying Guides, and How-To Articles. If you have knowledge of specialized information on consumer products, a knack for figuring out solutions in the home, office or garage, or if you simply have an opinion on consumer products that can fit into one of the productdose wiki categories, we want to hear about it. To create your own wiki page, follow the steps below:

  • Go to the Create a Wiki page.
  • Enter the title of your wiki in the "Wiki Page Title" box.
  • Designate whether your wiki is a Brand Profile, Buying Guide, or How-To Article.
  • Insert information into the pre-formatted page, covering the "In this section" prompts with text. (Leave the prompts you don't have info for as they are so someone else can fill the section in later.)
  • Text formatting rules can be found underneath the editing field. If they are confusing at first, use trial and error to figure out the various options.
  • Save when finished by clicking the "Save" button.
