Unfed is a New York based men's apparel and grooming product brand focused on creating a collection of classic products with urban appeal.

Brand History

Unfed was formed and launched by Jason Laan and Maureen Kennedy in New York City in the fall of 2005. During the early '00s, Laan had been living in Amsterdam, Kennedy in Helsinki, and the two later bumped into each other in New York's west village. Laan had been working as a a chemist, a silk-screener, a seamstress (or rather a seamster), a concept consultant, a bar owner, and a computer geek, while Kennedy had worked in retail on and off her whole life and was ready to stop consulting to other businesses and create her own retail brand.

The two agreed that they were both interested in creating a similar lifestyle brand of their own with which they could create classic products like shaving lathers, boxers, and bedding with an urban appeal. Unfed was born. Based in tinyChelsea studio in Manhattan for over a year, the brand moved operations to to Williambsurg, Brooklyn, in September 2006.

Unfed is currently sold on its own online store and in urban boutiques across the country.
